West Palm Beach is definitely a place for art and culture. Once you come here, you will be completely delighted by the number of museums and theaters and what they all have to offer. You can go to the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum, the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the Harriet Himmel Theater, The Carefree Theater, the Norton Museum of Art, and the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. 

This is also a place with tons of festivals for those tourists who love celebrations. This is where the popular SunFest happens. SunFest is an annual music and art festival celebrated on the waterfront. Big stars like Cyndi Lauper, Ray Charles, James Brown, Lenny Kravitz, and John Mayer have played here. So trust us when we tell you that this is a BIG deal. If you are traveling to West Palm Beach in April or May you are very lucky- just buy your tickets to make sure you can enjoy the feast. There is also the Palm Beach International Film Festival for movie lovers and the Barret-Jackson Collector Car Auction for those who love speed. 

Things to do in West Palm Beach:

If you are into nature and animals, a visit to the McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is mandatory. They have over 200 animals here, making it the ideal place to learn about them while you enjoy them in their natural habitat. This place has a very clear invitation: "Get in touch with your wild side." 

There is also the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society, which has a very clear mission: inspiring people to act in favor of wildlife. This is a very small zoo that basically saves species that are on the edge of extinction. Visit this place and meet their good cause eye to eye. 

The Manatee Lagoon is a place designed for eco-discovery. All manatees here are wild and not held in captivity. These cute animals are part of Florida's wildlife and people here protect them by making people aware of their existence and importance. This is a free parking and free admission place. You can also enjoy a snack here or take your own food to prepare a picnic on their grounds. 

Finally, you can go to the Norton Museum of Art, one of Florida's major cultural institutions. They have American, Chinese, and European art. Once you are here, you will enjoy masterpieces from the big names, like Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Monet, O'Keeffe, and Pollock.
