버지니아주의 도시 Chesapeake 시는 한글로는 체서피크 라고 주로 표기하지만 체사피크 라고 표기되기도 한다.

Chesapeake is located on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. It has miles of waterfront industrial, commercial, and residential properties.

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Chesapeake has a humid subtropical climate.

The growth of Chesapeake and its predecessors has been fueled by its location and transportation considerations. These continue to be major factors.

Trivia: In 2015, Hasbro wanted to celebrated the 80th birthday of their game Monopoly Here and Now: The US Edition. The company held an online vote to determine which cities would be added to the updated version of the game. Chesapeake, won the wildcard round, earning it a spot in the game.

When visiting the area, be sure to check out these great places:
- Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge – this no-fee recreation area offers fishing/hunting (in designated areas according to the season), wildlife viewing, boating/canoeing, bicycling, hiking, and camping (in designated area only).
- Lake Drummond- Located in the Great Dismal Swamp, the shallow (max. depth is 6 ft./ 1.9 m.) freshwater lake is one of only 2 natural freshwater lakes in the state. In older times, the water from the lake was used by merchant ships on their trans-Atlantic journeys (the water’s high tannin levels helped it stay fresher longer than other local water sources).
- Restaurant Week - in this annual tradition, local restaurants serve up special fixed-price menus to cater to foodies.
- Battlefield Park- This park commemorates the Battle of Great Bridge (Dec. 9, 1775), an early victory by colonial militia that helped force Royal Governor Lord Denmore to leave.
