The Port of Brunswick forms a vital part of the city's economy. This port is also very famous for being the primary import facility for several major car brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Kia, among other big names.
If you are into art, you are going to have a blast here! There are tons of art galleries around to enjoy fine art pieces and if you are looking for a bit of an architectural delight, you can visit Union Street to enjoy the collection of 19th and early 20th-century Victorian mansions.
You can't leave Brunswick until you try the city's famous strew- a tomato-based stew containing various types of lima beans, corn, okra, and other vegetables, and one or more types of meat. You might even notice that there is a massive pot outside the city with a plaque that says that the stew was first cooked there in 1898.
If you are into ships, you can join the Brunswick Landing Marina, a place where you can make new friendships, enjoy parties, and see grills on every dock. It’s a nice way to enjoy the sea with a very friendly crew and inside a safe environment.
You can also visit the Blythe Island Regional Park, a 1,100-acre public park that is surrounded by attractions such as St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, wonderful restaurants, great shopping, and award-winning golf courses.
For a natural and romantic experience, you can visit the Lover's Oak. According to local legend, Native American braves and their maidens would meet under the majestic spreading limbs of this enormous 900-year-old oak. They would meet to kiss and express their love under the branches of the tree.
