Visit the Olbrich Botanical Garden for a floral experience. The impressive outdoor gardens with breathtaking landscapes and plants will make you want to take lots of pictures. For a little more fun with nature and animals, you can visit the Henry Vilas Zoo. They have tons of animals on display. They also have an animal health center, a children's zoo, a primate house, an arctic passage, a herperatium, and a very fun discovery center.
If you are traveling with kids, then the Madison Children's Museum is a must for your schedule. They consider that playing is a serious thing, and we completely agree. This place can bring families closer and the experiences will be unforgettable. They have an art studio, a log cabin, a rooftop ramble where kids will be in contact with some animals, an urban garden, and a "wildernest." You will have fun just by looking at it.
