세부 사항
After over 100 years, a stunning and remarkable canyon has come back to life with the removal of the Klamath dams. The Kikacéki Reach of the Klamath River was bypassed for hydroelectric production, but today flows have been restored and the reveal has been nothing short of spectacular. Our day on the river begins at the top of the former Copco Reservoir and concludes at the start of the former Iron Gate Reservoir. You’ll see first-hand the incredible rebirth of the reservoir footprints, a river finding its native channel, and challenging whitewater wrapped within the spectacular canyon of Kikacéki Reach. Along the way, we’ll share the stories of the area – the triumphs, heartbreaks, and perspectives – that write the history of the people, dams, and dam removal on the Klamath River. There is no better way to grasp the scale of the changes to the Klamath River and the historical implications of dam removal than to float the river and see it with your own eyes. What's Included
